Police have charged a Porirua man with assualt of a truck driver. The truck driver was Bruce Coker and was killed before Christmas. It was a 26 year old accused of doing it and he appeared in the Porirua District Court this morning. Bruce Coker suffered a really, really bad head injury and died in the hospital three days later. Bruce had attended a party in Rossifer Street, Linden and was found unconscious on the ground. The accused man, who has name suppression (the media can't publish his name), will go to the High Court next month in Wellington.
